Unveil is an iOS app by SOLI that reads one selfie and shows you what already works for you, which small cosmetic changes would have the most impact, and how they would look on you. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it, how long we keep it, and how you stay in control.
1. What we collect
- Your selfie. The photo you take or choose in the app. It is uploaded to your private account storage so we can analyze it and create previews. See section 3 for everything that concerns face data.
- Your answers. The three quiz answers (how far you want to go, which areas you are open to changing, the vibe you are after) so the analysis and the preview respect your choices.
- Generated content. The analysis (strengths, Potential Map, your potential score, the reading of your look, recommendations, colors) and the preview images created from your selfie.
- An anonymous account. Unveil creates an anonymous account on first launch (a random identifier). No name, email or password is required.
- Device identifier. Apple's identifier for vendor, used to prevent abuse of the free analysis.
- Purchase state. Whether you have an active subscription, provided by RevenueCat from your Apple purchase. We never see your payment details.
- Product usage events. Which screens and features you use (for example "analysis completed", "paywall viewed"), tied to your anonymous account id. No photos, no personal data, and never your score.
- Crash and error reports. Technical details about a crash or a failed request (device model, iOS version, app version, error code), tied to your anonymous account id. No photos, no analysis content.
- Install attribution. Which campaign or link brought you to the App Store, provided by Apple's SKAdNetwork through AppsFlyer, and, if you answer it, a one-question survey on how you heard about Unveil. Unveil never requests the advertising identifier (IDFA) and never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
2. How we collect it and when we ask your permission
- The selfie and your answers are collected only when you take or choose a photo in the app and tap "Use this photo".
- Before the first photo leaves your device, the app shows a consent sheet that names the AI services the photo is sent to (Anthropic and Google), explains what is sent and how it is stored, and requires you to tap "I agree, analyze my selfie". If you tap "Not now", nothing is uploaded and nothing is sent. Your agreement is recorded on your account with a timestamp and the version of the sheet you accepted. When what is sent, or what a service does with it, changes, the app shows the updated sheet and asks again before the next photo is sent.
- The preview of your look is created automatically right after the analysis, from the same selfie and under the same agreement. No additional photo is collected for it.
- The camera and photo library are accessed only through iOS permissions that you grant.
- Everything else (anonymous account, device identifier, purchase state, usage events, attribution) is collected automatically when you use the app, as described in section 1.
3. Face data
This section describes how Unveil handles your selfie, which shows your face.
